Why We Built This Site
Virginia makes several kinds of justice records available, yet access depends on the custodian. Clarke court clerks hold filed charges, dockets, orders, and dispositions. The Sheriff's Office keeps the law-enforcement records it creates, while recent custody is handled through Northwestern Regional Adult Detention Center. VSP's Central Criminal Records Exchange supplies the official state history process, and the Virginia Sex Offender and Crimes Against Minors Registry publishes statutory registry fields. We bring the verified contacts, official search routes, request steps, and published costs together while keeping those systems distinct.

This is a privately operated reference site, not part of a Virginia court, law-enforcement office, or state agency. Those limits matter:
- We do not issue certified court documents, criminal histories, or registry records
- We cannot submit a Virginia FOIA request, expungement petition, sealing petition, or other filing for a visitor
- We do not run official checks or retrieve a person's record
- We cannot interpret a charge, warrant, or case as legal advice
- We cannot promise that an agency has not changed an address, cost, phone number, or procedure
An official copy must come from the office that holds it, such as a Clarke court clerk, the Sheriff's Office, or VSP's Central Criminal Records Exchange.
